Somewhere in Time

Our Somewhere in Time suite is our largest and most luxurious main suite. (Though in truth, all are wonderful.) It was the original owner's suite of this grand old manor home. HUGE is a word that comes to mind. Elegant is another descriptor. Fitting for the mood and feel of this elegant suite, Somewhere In Time has its own private hallway to get to the entrance of this secluded suite in the main house. Thus, it is in a wing by itself.

You first enter into the 19.5-foot sitting room with original, restored hardwood floors, custom outfitted daybed, overstuffed, custom upholstered matching chairs, reading lamps, and fireplace (non-working) with flanking built-in bookshelves. There is a large commissioned oil painting of Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour from a scene in the movie, "Somewhere in Time." There are also custom drapes, and an elegant large leather-topped desk.

From the sitting room, enter into the hallway with original built-ins and a cushioned window seat. From the hallway, you have a choice to go into the gorgeous but tranquil 22-foot bedroom or turn right to go to the very large bathroom with a large "hers" vanity and a separate "his" granite vanity. Lighted make-up mirror on the vanity with a rolling chair, an incredible 2-person air whirlpool bubble massage tub and a spacious custom ceramic shower. The background is a subtle and stunning French toile wallpaper that is perfect for the space. There is a separate water closet with a pocket door. This bathroom proves to be a large exquisite retreat.

The spacious main bedroom includes a 4-poster "Grand Hotel" king bed with custom bedding, thick Stearns and Foster mattress, and gorgeous custom drapes with swags and jabots and panels that puddle into the floor with custom ivory imported carpet.


Make yourself comfortable in the matching wingback chairs or elegant loveseat to watch the Smart TV or DVDs. There are remote candles on the mantel. Fresh flowers or live orchids are always in the suite. This one-of-a-kind elegant suite is decorated in soothing, dream-like impressionistic shades of blue and ivory. And of course, our afternoon snacks are delivered to your suite daily on a covered silver tray. It is usually our signature organic filled oatmeal cookies. Guests usually ask for and receive the recipe.

Can accommodate 3 people. There is a $60 extra person fee for occupancy over 2.
