Accessibility Information

A Storybook Inn Bed and Breakfast is not required to offer handicap-accessible accommodations since the establishment is located within a facility that contains not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that is occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor. (5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b). § 36.104 Definitions).

However, we are dedicated to providing an enjoyable and comfortable stay for all of our guests. We strive to ensure that our physical property features, guest accommodations, and digital experiences are informative and transparent so that every visitor can make well-informed decisions regarding their stay; therefore, we have added the following accessible features:

• ADA Parking Spaces: We offer two designated ADA parking spaces on the property.

• Loading Zone: An adjacent loading and unloading aisle is available for cars and vans.

• Level Access: The parking area is on a level surface with no curbs or curb ramps required to access the approach.

• Proximity: Accessible parking spaces are located directly adjacent to the closest entrance.

• Entrance Routes: Please note that all entrances to the property require at least one step; there are no completely step-free building entries. The main front entrance features six steps to reach the main floor.

• Back Entrance Access: Guests using wheelchairs or walkers can utilize a back entry with one step, where staff assistance is available to help access the lower floor.

• Elevator Access: An elevator is available to connect guests to the second floor, as well as the conservatory level where breakfast is served.

• Exterior Walkways: Walkways, hallways, and exterior routes feature railings, no abrupt level changes, and clear pathways free from protruding obstacles.

• Breakfast Area: Dining in the conservatory is fully accessible to guests using wheelchairs or walkers via the elevator and wide hallway paths.

• Common Restroom: A first-floor public restroom offers adequate space for a walker or wheelchair and is equipped with a taller-than-average commode.

The Guesthouse

To ensure total transparency, please review the following physical features that our historic property is currently unable to provide:

• Step-Free Entry: There are no zero-step entrances on the property.

• Covered Pickup: A covered passenger pick-up or drop-off area is not available.

• Common Restroom Grab Bars: Grab bars are not currently installed in the first-floor public restroom.

• Interior Tactile Signage: Interior signage (including room numbers and common areas) does not currently feature Braille or raised lettering.

In accordance with federal regulations, accessible rooms booked by guests with disabilities are hard-blocked to guarantee availability upon reservation.
